The wine cultivation area of Cape Mentelle is located in the valley of the river Margaret River. With a size of approximately 5,500 hectares, the valley has the largest vineyard in West Australia. At the mouth of the river is a small village with a Cape called Cape Mentelle. The vineyard is located in the immediate vicinity of the sea. An ideal prerequisite for successful wine cultivation is the local humid and windy climate with hot sunny summer months.
Tasty red and white wines from Cape Mentelle are based on the grapes Cabernet Sauvigonon, Merlot and Shiraz as well as Cabernet Blanc and Chenin Blanc which enchant the taste buds with delicate aromas.
