JL Coquet

J.L Coquet is an exemplary manufacturer of luxury porcelain made in France.

From its manufacture, based in Saint-Leonard de Noblat, close to Limoge, J.L. Coquet creates and produces one of the finest porcelain, which associates originality of design, subtle shapes and products quality.

With an exceptional “savoir-faire”, J.L. Coquet has accomplished all its fabrication process inside its manufacture since 1824 to only propose porcelain made and decorated in Haute-Vienne.

Thanks to this incredible expertise, J.L. Coquet was awarded by the Living Heritage Company label (“Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant”) in 2010. This is issued by the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry in recognition of French companies who demonstrate excellent industrial and traditional savoir-faire. J.L. Coquet also benefits from the official geographic label “Porcelaine de Limoges” as all its products come from its manufacture in Saint-Leonard-de-Noblat.

J.L Coquet porcelain is the beautiful result of water meeting earth, with a dash of human know-how. What sets J.L Coquet apart for so many years is the whiteness of its porcelain, recognized by everyone to be one of the most translucent and delicate in the world.Produce a piece of porcelain could imply more than twenty interventions which bring together advanced techniques and expertise.

Thanks to a unique engraving technique, gold, platinum or other precious metal encrustations highlight the decorations of J.L. Coquet products while ensuring their irreversibility. This technique gives to colors and patterns, a unique relief to sublimate each piece. At the same time, thanks to a unique satin technique, made by hand, a minerality juice is applied to protect the dullness of the “biscuit”, while the enamel is deposited on the parts not spared. This combination of matte and shiny effects offers unique aesthetic contrasts while preserving abrasive and striking products.

Rich in this experience recognized by the greatest chefs, J.L Coquet porcelain represents the art of French living and contributes to the influence of know-how "made in France" around the world.
