Champange Demi-Sec in gift box, Set 6x0,75L

The Cuvée: As with all cuvées of Veuve Clicquot, the Pinot Noir also dominates the Demi Sec. This grape variety gives it structure and a powerful character. Since this quality places particular emphasis on fruity notes, the proportion of Pinot Meunier is higher than in the Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label. The assemblage is completed by the Chardonnay, which provides freshness and finesse. The slightly higher dosage of 45 g/l, creates a mildly sweet aroma without masking the freshness. The proportion of reserve wines is 15 - 25%.

Tasting Profile: The Demi Sec has a beautiful yellow color with golden luster and unfolds fine, uniform foam. In the intense nose, ripe fruit (candied citrus, fruit liqueur) and hints of yeast pastry and grilled give the tone. In the mouth it is round and soft, but a trace of very mild acidity provides pleasant freshness. Here, too, the aroma of ripe fruit is present.

Speak recommendation: The mild balance of Veuve Clicquot Demi Sec, determined by the fruity notes, is the ideal complement to sweet dishes, such as petit fours, a juicy tarte aux pomme or to a créme brûlée. However, it also goes excellently with savory pastries. After a further cellar aging period (2 to 3 years), components reminiscent of roasted and grilled foods become even more prominent. Then the Demi Sec can also be served wonderfully with caramel and coffee desserts such as cream puffs, caramel pears and mocha ice cream.
Don't hesitate to decant the Demi Sec in a decanter, as it was done in Madame Clicquot's time. After a few minutes in the previously chilled carafe, the full aroma and all the splendor of the golden glow will be revealed.
