Description
In Max Esser's "Otter" from 1931, all the characteristic features of this shy creature are perfectly brought to bear: the smoothness of the coat, the tenseness of the muscles, the speed of movements, the fine trembling of the muzzle. Thus, the animal sculpture transports the observer directly into the animal's world and almost surpasses itself in reality. This animal sculpture was awarded the Grand Prix in Paris in 1937.
