The history of Clinique La Prairie dates back to 1931, when Professor Paul Niehans, a brilliant scientist at the University of Zurich, first presented fresh animal cells to patients with various diseases.

Until the publication of his research, Pr Niehans treated more than 5000 patients with cell therapy to stimulate the immune system. The reputation of exclusive rejuvenation treatment grew rapidly to attract many leaders worldwide. There were many personalities, athletes, politicians and actors who were interested in his secret formula. After the treatment of Pope Pius XII, the clinic in the Vatican was given great prestige.

In the 1980s, the clinic was acquired by  the Swiss entrepreneur Armin Mattli, who developed Clinique La Prairie to be recognized for his innovative scientific research and medical expertise. The Mattli family are known for their tradition values and Swiss quality.

Over the years, the revitalization program has retained its world-renowned reputation. Other specialized programs have been developed to offer a variety of targeted medical programs such as weight balance, sleep therapy, smoking cessation, and more.

Clinique La Prairie has long been a pioneer in the development of the Medi-spa and is today one of the best medical treatments.

With the appointment of Gregor Mattli, the pioneering work of the clinic continues. Gregor Mattli follows his father today as chairman of the Clinique La Prairie.
