We have a great please to introduce to you Mr. Martin, who is the Key Account Manager Central & Northern Europe of Lladró, S.A.

Mr. Martin, first of all I would like to thank you for a great collaboration with BREGNER Luxury & Lifestyle. I would like to ask you how long have you been working for Lladró? Why have you decided to work here?

I began at Lladró approximately one year ago. In spite of my short stay at Lladró until now, I’ve been able to realize that working here is amazing and the working atmosphere in sales team is great. I’ve always been interested in luxury brands and interior design, and these are topics that identify Lladró perfectly.

As far as I know you are working mostly with the Central and Northern Europe. Do you see the differences between two of these markets?

In my opinion, German-speaking countries are more interested in Classic and the contrast with Classic and Modern. However, Nordic/Scandinavic are in general very minimalistic, they look for straight lines and maybe a strong design touch.

Where is your main target?

Eastern Asia market is currently the one we receive the most requests from, although America and Europe have been very important since years.

How important is export to Lladró?

Export represents a wide majority of sales for Lladró.

I would like to congratulate you with the great presentation of the new sculpture CARNIVAL IN VENICE. Can you tell us more about this piece? What was the idea behind?

Thank you very much! After the success of our last biggest sculpture Queen of the Nile, Lladró’s Creativity Board accepted the challenge to develop a bigger sculpture in this style. After 5 years and more than 22 sculptors working on it, the expected Carinval in Venice was finally presented in the exhibition Maison et Objet in Paris.

Are you planning on opening new stores? If yes, in which countries?

Unfortunately, I cannot confess this by now! But you will realize if you follow us on social media.

Mr. Martin, which line of LLadró products is your favorite one?

Personally I’m more into New Classic style. I like the sculptoric character and the realism of white matte figurines and beyond them, my favourite is 010.08539 Protective Angel, by coincidence one of our best sellers.

Do you have a lot of sculptures, vases or lamps at home?

Not a lot, but some! Speci ally I enjoy Home Fragrances and Litophanies to create a cozy and warm atmosphere at home.

We know that there are a lot of designers, who work in Lladro, do you personally communicate a lot with them?  Does it help for your work with the clients?

Yes, we have a very close approach with our Design and Creativity team. We organize meetings regularly in order to give feedback from our partners and from our feelings about trends and ideas to develop new products.

Do you have the private events for your clients? I know, that there are a lot of collectors of Lladro masterpieces. Do you organize the special occasions for them?

Depending on the occasion and the pieces concerned, we do organize some events with partners, usually with flower topics, which are iconic elements for Lladró, and launching events to present High Porcelain pieces in an exclusive circle of Lladró lovers.

Speacking about the world of luxury, there are a lot of companies, which work with porcelain as well. Can you name the main competitor of Lladro?

It is actually not easy to talk about competitors in the world of luxury, due to the fact that every company and brand makes efforts to be unique and create an own style, as Lladró does. We may talk about “competitors” like other brands producing crystal glass figurines, but in general, our main difference with porcelain manufacturers is that they concentrate more in table service design, which is not our field.

How can you describe Lladro in 3 words?

That’s challenging. Maybe the most distinctive topics would be the words we put under our logo: Handmade, Porcelain, Spain.
