"The little maid", like the other figurines by Chris Antemann, bears historically characteristic decorations of the porcelain manufactory Meissen. The clothes and the service on the back of the figurine show the floral painting, which has a long tradition in Meissen. The rose stands out in particular on the maid's clothes. For her figurines, Chris Antemann is inspired by the porcelain figurines of Kaendler and the Commedia dell'arte.
