Description
Capturing the "King of the Skies" at the moment of his landing on the falconer"s glove, depicting his lightness and simultaneous heaviness, was a great challenge for the young sculptor Maximilian Hagstotz. Contrary to ceramic principles, the main burden of the sculpture lies here on a narrow standing surface. The focus of the viewer, as well as the falcon itself, is on the filigree claws at the moment of its successful landing. Hagstotz"s sculptural perfection is complemented by the detailed painting of painter Kerstin Laschinkski. The fine ornamentation of the back feathers radiates power and rhythm. The feathers still appear to be in motion, puffing up.
