Description
Piece inspired by one of the most deeply-rooted traditions in Japanese culture. The fifth day of the fifth month of the year in Japan is Boy’s Day when homes are adorned with representations of warrior boys in order to wish for the healthy growth and prosperous future for the boys of each family. This creation made in gres, decorated with blue enamels combined with earthy tones, is notable for the painstaking ornamental work that reflects to perfection the wealth of traditional Japanese clothing. The piece is rounded off with a brass spear with a steel tip.
